What’s more fun than a Halloween tea party? A Haunted Mansion Inspired Tea Party, of course, complete with ghosts, ghouls, and delicious treats! It was tons of spooky, eerie fun when I teamed up with Erin at Printable Crush who provided all of the fantastic Halloween decor and printables and Hilary Stailey who took all of our ghoulishly beautiful photos! We decided on an elegant theme for our tea party well, as elegant as you can get with a creepy skeleton seated at your table and dark as night Vampire Chocolate Mousse Parfaits on your tea cart! Everything was inspired by the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland because it’s Erin’s favorite ride. I know this well because she is my daughter and we have been enjoying that ride since I can remember! She loves Halloween, and I love tea parties, so why not combine our talents for a spectacular, or should I say spooktacular tea party?

We had tombstones, black flowers, edible blood and a spooky good time at our party!

I love tea parties! Yes, I say this all the time, but I do. They can range from simple to extravagant or whimsical to eerie, but they are always sure to bring some extraordinary to an ordinary day! Food is an essential part of any tea party, and we had no shortage of yummy treats. We had delectable S’more Scones (coming to the blog soon), Lemony Cucumber Sandwiches, Bruschetta Tea Sandwiches (also coming soon), Vampire Chocolate Mousse Parfaits which I can’t wait to share with you, black chocolate dipped strawberries, caramel apples and lots of other delicious goodies! Tea parties are fun because you can mix homemade delights with store-bought treats, and they mingle together so nicely.

Wow, the place settings were nothing short of magical! What an elegant mix of fine china, gorgeous gold paper plates, plastic cutlery, black rose napkin rings and cute name tags. Check out how to make them at Printable Crush. Decor for this party was absolute perfection! That skeleton is Ethyl, by the way, and she joined us for tea!

The Holograph portraits were an amusing touch, and I had so much fun planning and preparing the food for this tea party! Our party guests gobbled up almost every bit of our yummy food!

The Fig Toast shown below was a huge hit, proving that things don’t always have to be complicated to be delicious! I simply used some little toasts right out of the package, mixed a touch of confectioners sugar with some mascarpone cheese, spread some fig paste over the top and drizzled them with some store-bought balsamic reduction sauce. Quick, easy and a great addition to our menu.
