A few synonyms for fancy are lavish, elegant and exclusive. Join me for some thoughts and ideas on how to host a special tea for your family and friends. I’m not British, so my tea parties may not always follow proper tea etiquette to a T, tee or tea? Well, no matter, you get the drift, and for my personal preference on this one, I’ll say I may not always follow the correct proper etiquette to a “tea, ” but we had a fabulous time at this party! Because this was a high tea party rather than an afternoon tea, we had more food and held it later in the evening. High tea was served later in the evening after working people returned home from their jobs, while afternoon tea was earlier in the afternoon and had scones, tea sandwiches, and sweets while high tea served more of a meal and consisted of heartier food. I love tea parties, and enjoy planning, hosting and attending tea parties of all sorts!
We had a lovely mix of cheese along with some olives, nuts, and fruit. Yum! The combination of lots of fun treats makes for an elegant, enjoyable time.
Good food, good times and good friends!
Who doesn’t love something a bit special and fancy? We had an abundance of delectable treats that tantalized the taste buds and were fun to see! The cute little roast beef roses were easy to make and tasted yummy with a touch of horseradish in the cream-filled shells. I enjoy coming up with my tasty treats and finding great ideas by other people on Pinterest! Yummy Balsamic Glazed Cranberry Crostini’s are very easy to make and looked lovely and added a bit of tangy sweetness to our meal. I love tea party food, and it’s especially fun to make treats that look pretty as well as taste great! Of course, it takes a bit more effort sometimes to make things just a notch above the usual, but it’s worth the extra effort.
